David Llewellyn-Jones

School of Computer Science

David Llewellyn-Jones is Reader in Computer Security at Liverpool John Moores University. His main research interest is – not surprisingly – computer security, but he’s also interested in areas related to computer graphics/game technologies, parallel and distributed algorithms and general programming. Although having always loved building stuff out of software, until recently he considered hardware to be a dark art. The recent growth in access to 3D printing has allowed software skills to be applied to making real physical things, essentially giving access to the murky world of the physical. David is a big advocate of Open Source software and some of his work can be found on SourceForge, GitHub and his personal webpage.

This year David is involved with the team running the LJMU Game Jam and the Liverpool MakerFest.
